Line vacuum circuit breaker: used to close, disconnect and disconnect high-voltage transmission lines when a short circuit occurs during normal operation. When used in high-altitude transmission lines, it shall have the function of automatic reclosing. When used in cable lines, it is not necessary to use automatic reclosing. Used as a connection circuit breaker, it should be able to break the step fault.
Transformer vacuum circuit breaker: the circuit breaker used on each side of the transformer in the substation. The rated short-circuit breaking current is very large, and it should have the ability to open and close the no-load transformer without using fast automatic reclosing.
Busbar vacuum circuit breaker: used for the circuit breaker connected between two busbars when the main electrical wiring of the substation is double bus wiring. When the main wiring is double bus with side bus, the bus tie breaker can be used as a bypass circuit breaker. In the bus connection mode, the bus tie breaker is the electrical connection between the two bus bars. Generally, the bus tie breaker is in the closed state, that is, the bus bars run in parallel. If the bus tie breaker is in the open state, that is, two The busbars run in separate rows.
Sectional vacuum circuit breaker: A circuit breaker that connects two sections of busbars can operate the two sections of busbars in sections or realize single busbar operation. The substation adopts the busbar sectioned power supply mode, which can improve the reliability of power supply to a greater extent.
Generator vacuum circuit breaker: It is used to connect the generator to the power grid and break the short-circuit current on the system side or the generator side in the event of a fault to protect the safe operation of the generator. It is characterized by low rated voltage (36KV and below), large rated current (up to ten thousand amperes), high rated short-circuit breaking current (up to 100-200KA), and no need to use fast automatic reclosing.
Power distribution vacuum circuit breaker: used to close, open and break high-voltage power distribution lines in the event of a short circuit during normal operation. It is characterized by low rated voltage (below 35KV), low rated current (below 1KA), medium rated short-circuit breaking current (20-31.5KA), which requires short breaking time and automatic reclosing, sometimes even It is required to have the ability to open and close the capacitor bank (single capacitor bank or multiple parallel capacitor banks) and the charging current of the cable line.
Classified according to the controlled equipment: This type of circuit breaker is used to control and protect the power equipment that often needs to be started and stopped. Generally, frequent operations of opening and closing are required, such as capacitor banks, reactors, motors, electric furnaces, etc. It is characterized by low rated voltage, no need to use fast automatic reset, but hope to have a higher electrical life.
